Shucks. How can i forget to write about the 110th independence day of the Philippines?! I have always been getting A's in patriotism and love for the country!(wah???) but i still managed to erase it from my system. Gracious! Have i gone mad?!Is the earth gonna explode into oblivion?!noooooooooooooooooo! I haven't even finioshed memorizing the taiwannese lyrics of my favorite song!ay.haha.
Anyway, before we get into an out of this world topic, let us reminisce the feeling of being a free nation!weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!*happiness*
Now that we have succesfully reminisced the past, let us contemplate.(waw, anu to, guide to succesfully celebrating the independence day?!haha)
well, i have read that one of the reforms that the Propaganda (of Rizal, Jaena, Del pilar, etc) was pushing was to make the PHILIPPINES a PROVINCE of SPAIN. Sooooo if i'm not mistaken, and unless i'm going nuts, they never really hoped for independence of the nation, they were just fighting for the MERE FAIRNESS in the treatment between the mestisos and the agtas (awch!), in which the percentage of it being realized is next to impossible!hay!
i know, who am i to talk to our heroes, to the very reason why i myslelf breathe and is able to write something right now? i actually am no more than a concerned patriot, but in a sense i'm also a treasonous (?) filipino. How do i say this. Uhm. I am grateful for these who have risked their everything for the land of the free, but, (i sometimes get carried away into the world of skepticism,maybe by influence of the things i read), i think that they do not ENTIRELY DESERVE the "rewards" and "appreciation" and "credit" they receive nowadays. There are a lot more unsung heroes, who may not have been and may never be known to us and the future generation.
do you know that it was Aguinaldo who holds the record of the first ever election anomaly?
for what was the "acta de tejeros?"
do you know that it was aguinaldo's men who suspectedly assasinated Antonio Luna because of his rising popularity which may sooner or later exceed Aguinaldos?
and i know you do know what kind of Man Jose Rizal was.
Are you now starting to turn against them, because of the things i mentioned above??
DON'T.
Coz then again. Im just a no one in this world and they are already somebodys who have stood the test of not only time but also of deteriorators.
They are people worthy of EMULATION not because they are HOLY but because even if they have their flaws, in the end they chose to stAnd for what is right!!!
right?
IF a while ago, you were starting to change your mind, don't. stand for what you believe in coz in the end, it may still be the proper thing!
